Broward College

The choice to become a state college allows Broward to offer a wider range of degree programs to students to over fifty thousand students. Activities for Students
Outside of studies, people studying at Broward will find more than one hundred clubs to choose from. Clubs, actives, and organizations exist to help students grow in mind, body, and spirit. From art to athletics, a new or current student will have no problem finding a place to fit in.
The college's student paper keeps everyone on campus informed about events from all over, especially those happening at the school. Journalism savvy students may seek to get involved in this publication, but you don't have to be interested in journalism to benefit from peer descriptions of movies, sports, activities, and even editorials.
Broward has Wellness Centers placed throughout its various campuses for use by staff, faculty, and students. Everyone is encouraged to utilize these centers, which give students an opportunity to use a variety of cardio equipment, weights, and other work out machinery. Joining the work out centers is free to anyone with a college ID.
Career Services
Having access to a career center is another perk of attending Broward College. Within these counseling centers, students are able to be matched with careers while developing their portfolios and resumes. Career help also includes assistance developing interview skills, job fairs and placement, and a variety of internship opportunities. With all of these resources available, it won't be difficult to achieve success.
Online Courses
For the student who travels frequently or lives too far to commute frequently, earning credit online is possible. Broward College offers a variety of online courses that are convenient and lead to a variety of degrees. You can choose to take a combination of in class and online courses, or you can take all of your classes online. Taking classes online makes it possible for more people to benefit from the outstanding academics offered by Broward.
Environmentally Friendly
Broward College is taking steps to help the environment, whether it's with their more efficient architecture or sustainable landscaping. The students are getting involved, too! Contests and clubs help people learn about saving the environment while working towards a degree. There are a variety of volunteer opportunities and ways to help students make a positive impact.
